Walking/Biking Trails

There are some great trails around Oshkosh to ride your bike or walk. A lot of them are among nature.

Take some time to explore the 37 parks around Oshkosh? There are some amazing parks that are not well known if you take time to find them all!

Menominee Park

Menominee Park is located right on Lake Winnebago and has many attractions. A beach, bike and walking path, picnic areas, tennis courts and baseball diamonds. It is also host to a Zoo, small carnival area, and two areas with playground equipment. You could really spend a whole day here.

Since Oshkosh is located on Lake Winnebago, water is a huge attraction here. Wether it be boating, fishing, or jet skiing there is a lot of fun to be had. There is also a great walkway along the fox river by downtown. This is a beautiful place to take young children for a walk.

You can enjoy many amazing music festivals that take place in Oshkosh. We have smaller festivals all the way to large festivals.  Check out Country USA, Rock USA, Lifefest or music events at the Leach Amphitheater.

Downtown Area

Our downtown is a great place for you to explore. Check out the many different shops. My boys love to poke around House of Heroes comic shop and the book store. Stop for lunch at one of the coffee shops or purchase some adorable gifts at the Caramel Crisp & Cafe.

The weekly Farmers Market also takes place on Main Street during Saturday morning in the summer. We love to walk through the market and get some fresh produce. Be sure to taste some egg rolls, pie, kettle corn, or our favorite mini donuts.

Every Wednesday, Opera House Square is the spot to be for Live at Lunch. Check out an area restaurant that serves food or bring a picnic lunch during this hour long concert. My boys love to take a little break and hang out here each week.

The first saturday of the month a fun thing to do is Gallery Walk. From 6-9pm Oshkosh galleries and businesses open their doors to feature artwork of all varieties and genres.
