Hi ~ my name is Kim and I like to procrastinate.
It is my most bothersome trait. I am not sure when it started but I remember procrastinating when I was a child. As an adult I procrastinate so much and it has gotten to the point where I need to make a change. Because everything I procrastinate doing or just don’t doing is STILL there and that’s when I become overwhelmed!
I know that usually people make resolutions on January 1st, but I only fail with these! I am so tired from the Christmas season that in January when it is 10º here tackling my resolutions are the LAST thing on my mind. I always like to start things fresh with the newness of a school year. So, September 1st will be my “new year.” I am starting to think about and write down my resolutions because August will be about change and self-reflection.
My first resolution will be to Unlearn Procrastination. Really, once I tackle my procrastination a lot of the other resolutions will fall into place. I have two goals this week that I am going to do every evening:
- Make a to do list
- Review the previous days to do list and evaluate why some things didn’t get done and what I did instead
Every Sunday is going to be my day of personal reflection and improvement which I will share with you! So, come back Sunday to see how I am doing already, but I will also share some of my other goals.
Plus, I always love how on the NewlyWoodwards blog she always posts her monthly goals and how they are going/went. So I am going to steal that Idea. Sunday I will post my August goals for all of you to keep me accountable with!
I hope if you are waiting to make some goals or resolutions you are inspired to just do it now ~ I’m considering this my first step in conquering procrastination!
