What are you planning on eating for dinner this week? I have been neglecting participating in Menu Plan Monday because that actually means that I need to make supper every night. But, we have been eating out entirely too much lately which isn’t good for the diet or the pocketbook. With the onslaught of cold, rainy weather it has really gotten me back to the excitement of menu & grocery planning and cooking.
So, that means I need to get back to basics and organize my menu plan. I really needed to inventory my freezer since it is full and I don’t feel as if there is any real food in there. Which is upsurd because it is FOOD that my freezer is full of. I really wish I would have gotten a stand-up freezer instead of a chest freezer. I never want to go all the way to the bottom – it’s just no fun down there. You would be amazed if you actually saw how much food was in the freezer and pantry. I am ashamed, but not too ashamed to post it.
I planned the actual menu for this week using a lot of the items that I already have. So, I just need to defrost my meat so I can start using up my stock! Isn’t that exciting! (I know, you REALLY wish you had my life~where the most exciting part of the month is using up all the stuff in the freezer)
