With two boys under the age of 8 I am truly a mini-van Mom. I love the stow and go seating. I can go from carrying my kids and friends to basketball practice to filling the van with holiday gifts just by tucking the seats under the floor. I can carry the wagon so we can tote our stuff to the holiday parade spot or fold up the seats and fill the car with friends and family. It is so easy to change from just 2 seats all the way to 7.
Then there is the day to day drive that creates a mess….snacks ground into the floor, dog hair, dirt and stones all over the car mats, and leaves, sticks and more “treasures” that the kids bring in from outside. Now, bring on the holidays….. The mess changes – we now have pine needles from the freshly cut Christmas tree, sparkles from the holiday ribbon, and somehow little bits of gift wrap get carried home too.
I just saw a commercial for the 2014 Honda Odyssey that has a built in vacuum cleaner. Can you imagine……. I wouldn’t have to pull out the shopvac that my husband hides in the corner of the garage? If there is a massive spill we could just stop and vacuum it up right after it happens? How amazing would that be? Check out the video below to see the other family-friendly items that Honda has added this year to the Honda Odyssey.
Not necessarily in the market for a mini van, my husband currently drives a Honda Civic which has been a great commute car for us. He drives over 50 miles each way to work and gets incredible mileage which saves us great money! I have only heard amazing things about all kinds of Honda vehicles and you may need to check one out as a Christmas gift to yourself! If you live near the Milwaukee, WI area be sure to check out David Hobbs Honda of Milwaukee where they can help you explore all the entire Honda line of vehicles.
What options do you look for when buying a new vehicle?
