Fresh cut grass
A fresh snowfall
A new baby
This year I am embracing it ~ differently……
In the past I liked to make list of resolutions. Lose weight, spend less money, organize the house, declutter…..it goes on and on. Every year it was pretty much the same with a new item added and others taken away.
They didn’t work. That’s why every year they said pretty much the same thing. Primarily because they got forgotten. Some got forgotten by January 2, while others lasted a little bit longer.
I can’t do that anymore……I need something that is more of a focus but doesn’t define whether I have failed at my resolutions. I needed something that encompasses all parts of my life and family. I’ve heard about the One Word series for a while and knew that it was time for more to embrace it.
I have always had negative tendencies, but I feel like through the last year I have really slipped into a negative spiral. Partially from people I surround myself with, things I have spent my time doing that I don’t enjoy, and other negative tendencies that I have turned into habits. I’ve felt awful – about myself, others, and just generally down on life. I see my family slipping that way also and know that it is time to step up. Change our story……

So, this starts my 365 day journey to find the positive. In all that I do and see…..I know my journey will have its downfalls….but isn’t that what the journey is all about?
